Cookbook Club

“The cookbooks that made us.” aka these helped shape my style and I still use many of these today.

Basics to Brilliance by Donna Hay

Can’t go wrong with anything Donna Hay, but this one in particular is just an amazing concept. She starts with core base items and then use them in multiple dishes. She shows you how to be more versatile. Also, visually its just stunning food porn.

Quick Pickles by Chris Schlesinger

Let’s hope you or your partners pickle isn’t too quick, we like some stamina. When it comes to fresh produce, this book gives a detour from more tradition prolonged pickling, to quick flavor. I have pickled my way trough this book and have lots of favorite pickles…

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home

Jeni can do a mic drop with her ice-cream. Not only do you have an insane product in your shops, you gave us a way to create and go on a journey through ice-cream. We all need more cream in our lives. Eat + Cook through the seasons with this cookbook.

Great Food Fast by Martha Stewart Living

Organized by season, which I am a huge fan of. Who doesn’t want to immerse themselves in the seasons, inside and out. I always tend to pull this one out in the Fall, spicy pumpkin chicken enchiladas….f*ck me up. Buy it.

The Skinnytaste Cookbook by Gina Homolka

If you don’t know Skinnytaste, then you need to leave my website right now and go to hers. Gina is a legend. The recipes are plentiful, so you need to do some reading and narrow down, but you are guaranteed to fall in love with her.

Mi Cocina by Rick Martínez (Pre-Order)

I love Rick. He’s one of the more gorgeous humans who has an amazing talent in cooking. He really appreciates food and balance. His food has changed my life. One of my favorite people to cook with and cook for. I haven’t even seen the cookbook yet, but I love everything Rick cooks, so I know I will love this.

Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines

Sorry Jo, I bought this at Homegoods, but I would have paid more! For the banana bread alone, this is worth every penny. Love the entire book.

Fresh Flavor Fast by Martha Stewart Living

As I am going through my cookbooks here I realize I like things quick and fast. I was so in love with Great Food Fast, I bought this. It’s not as good, but its still worthy of taking up space and collecting dust on my shelf.

A Taste of Wyoming by Pamela Sinclair

So I have never been to Wyoming, but I feel like I have from easting my way through this. My older brother Johnny picked this up for me on a Jackson Hole ski trip. You will want to go to every bed and breakfast on any trip to wonder what delicious love cooked meal you could be getting.
